Heading to Joseph’s Tomb
(IFM) A booby-trapped car exploded near Nablus Thursday in an
attempt to target an Israel Defense Forces-led convoy escorting
Jewish worshippers on their way to Joseph’s tomb, Israel Radio,
Kol Yisrael reported. None of the worshippers and soldiers were
hurt. A member of Fatah’s Tanzim was seriously wounded when he
detonated the bomb which went off between the passing of the first
and second vehicles of the convoy.
Israeli troops
arrested seven Islamic Jihad members in Jenin on Wednesday night.
The suicide bomber who carried out Friday’s attack in Tel Aviv
came from Jenin and was a member of the Islamic Jihad.
Soldiers also
arrested a Fatah member, Ibrahim Ahmed Abed, near the Jat junction
outside Nablus on Wednesday. They suspected him of planning a
terrorist attack.
