Russian Physicist Invented Alternative Energy Source
MOSCOW
(RIA Novosti) -- An ingenious device providing power to microelectronics
- the so called piezoconverter - was invented by Martyn Nunuparov,
a Russian theoretical physicist and head of the microelectronics
laboratory of the general Physics Institute of the Russian Academy
of Sciences. The device has been patented under this name in Russia,
the United States and 24 other countries.
Martyn Nunuparov
invented the piezoconverter consisting of a transformer, two diodes
and a condenser. In particular, the gadget converts a lighter's
spark to 3V voltage.
Many companies
are interested in the invention. However, they are mostly interested
in the rights for it, rather than in launching production. "But
I do not want to sell the patent, I want manufacture what I have
invented," Martyn Nunuparov said.
Secret services,
miners, firefighters and oil and gas producers have been very
keen on the piezoconverter, remote switches and battery-less sensors
that can be used as part of self-contained wireless warning systems
that produce no sparks whatsoever because they are airtight. This
is especially important to miners and firefighters because it
minimizes the risk of explosion. And you have never to replace
batteries as well.
